The general concept is to have a theme for each gathering with one or two
folks per session researching and sharing what they have learned.
Hopefully, we can find quilts, tops or blocks to illustrate the theme.
Some folks will have many more years of textile and quilt knowledge, some may
have more quilts, (Some may bake amazing brownies!) but this is intended to be a
non-threatening learning experience.
On Saturday, October 19th, 2002, Sue Reich gave us a tour on of a quilt
exhibit she had curated in the Connecticut town of Washington. It was at the
historical society museum and had early 19th century quilts. We had
a bag lunch, ate at her house and then toured the nearby museum.
Then we had show and share! Click here
for more, including pictures.
Our next meeting is tentatively scheduled for January 4, 2003 in Brattleboro
VT.
