is the quilt that greeted us! Our
gracious hostess
The
theme of this meeting was one patch designs. Barb Garrett opened the
meeting by showing us a quilt she had made as a newlywed in 1967 and was
still using. She then proceeded to dazzle us with other one patch
quilts and tops she had collected.
Other quilts we saw that day included yo-yo's, grandmothers
flower gardens, braids and nine patches.
One
quilt came with a family letter describing the design we have come to know
as Thousand Pyramids as a "smoothing iron"

Bought
as a cutter quilt, this pomegranate quilt is being restored. The nurse
among us pointed out that it was anatomically correct.
