Biographical Information
Barb Vlack is an internationally known quiltmaker, author, lecturer, teacher and
quilt collector. Most recently she has been collecting vintage quilts and tops
of the 30s. She is known internationally for her association with The
Electric Quilt Company. She has lectured and taught nationally and
internationally with her computer and projector capabilities. Other areas for
lectures and workshops include borders and hand appliqué. Barb is available to
travel.

Trunk show/lecture: "Quilts My Grandmother Didn't Make". Her
collection includes examples of fine appliqué kit, utilitarian (read also
"ugly"), and scrapbag pieced quilts. Barb's presentation offers a look
at the multi-faceted history of the era in order to understand the background of
the women who produced these quilts.
"Sampler
for the 30s". Students in this class are encouraged to get into the spirit
of the 30s by making the sampler with vintage or repro 30s fabrics. (Click on
